BRIEF // Create a unique national brand identity for Nova Energy that can be used to grow its retail business and differentiate it from its competitors in a homogeneous marketplace.
SOLUTION // An identity is more than just its logo. A major disadvantage to the existing Nova identity was that there was very little in the way of supporting graphic layers. Additional layers reinforce the brand, tell a story, and create a well rounded identity that will communicate with an audience on multiple levels. We explored the background and values of Nova Energy – what it stands for and what it aspires to.
From this point we created a set of visual layers that told Nova Energy’s story and reinforced its message. By creatively coordinating a cohesive suite of branded material (including brochures, stationery, website, banners, flyers and vehicle and building signage) it has started to make inroads in a market with which it was unfamiliar with. The flexibility of the identity will enable the company to grow and develop, changing according to market needs while remaining a strong, identifiable brand.
